Potentially a 5 stars, but not at current state.
Playground without toilet is big no no.
One single barbecue? May as well us that space for toilet.

A beautifully designed park. We rode our bikes there (1 adults 2 kids) and it's super convenient. Going car-free is easy; it only requires some planning and passion to save the environment. I applaud the city planner/ park designer to opt out additional parking spots to preserve the beauty of nature.

Nicely constructed park next to the pond.
A nice range of native plants planted all around this large playground.
Bike racks to lock up your bicycle and ample seating.
Only appears to be one BBQ and no toilets.
A typical under sight from our government.
There’s also only 7 dedicated parking spots with one being a disabled spot.
Located in a suburban area that’s pack with thousands and thousands of people and only getting bigger.
4/5 for the park, would of been a 5/5 if there was a toilet.
0/5 star for the planning and forethought of the park.

Fabulous park that has plenty to offer a range of different age groups. Very well designed and thought out. Only let down is the lack of restroom facilities which are an inevitable necessity with children.

This is a fun park with a fantastic view. However my 1 star is due to the fact that this park is advertised as inclusive on access canberra and it is not. Inclusive includes people with disability. As a parent of a child with special needs, my major complaints are:

1. The playground is not fenced. There is a small portion of the lake fenced but it is not safe.

2. Due to no fencing, the park is fully accessible to the adjacent road with parking and traffic.

3. No toilets. Not ideal for children who have toileting issues.

4. The park design is FUN but it’s cluttered and visually impossible to keep track of a child. Special needs parents especially of autism need to be able to shadow/keep their child in view.

It also did not appear to be at all friendly if you were physically disabled eg. Wheelchair.

Again, This is a great park but it’s not inclusive. It is exclusive.

Great playground, our kids absolutely love it. Lots of well designed/built equipment, and it’s well maintained. But a lack of toilets really takes away from being a family-friendly or accessible destination…

Weekends are busy. No toilets yet but heard soon construction ongoing to make.childrens will have great time. One barbeque place too. People can come with food and enjoy. Ducks makes mess at footpath. Be careful

Would be 5 stars if there were toilets!
Kids had a fantastic time but toilet requirements cut out trip short. Parking was also at a premium and can be dangerous crossing the street to the park due to dangerous parking and residents trying to drive through.

Best playground in canberra. Excellent design. Love the landscaping as well.
Shame there are no toilets though.

Excellent playground in terms of play equipment for children, suitable for a wide age range and truly beautiful to look at. Only one barbecue which just seems bizarre for such a large park. Took off one star for lack of toilet facilities and one star for lack of shade. The shade structures are more style than substance and all have openings which don’t actually provide comprehensive shade.

Great for many ages! Mostly under shade. But no toilets and not massive amounts of parking

Went to Ruth Park with the family today after seeing the advertisement of the oppening during last month. Great park with lots of activities for kids and plenty of activities the adults can join in. My main complaints would be lack of facilities, only one BBQ, and no toilets. I understand there is a homeless issue in Canberra but when you have to leave a park due to a bathroom issue, how is that fare for the kids. As we rocked up a mother was allowing there child to urinate on the side of the road. Would go back but sad we can not spend more time enjoying this 7million dollar project.

Beautiful and fun park. However there is no parking lot there and the size of the playground is more than double the size of the playground in Arboretum. They will need to retrofit a big parking lot on the side just like how it is built in Denman Prospect Ridgeline park. I believe street parking has already created a huge inconvenience for the local residentals.

Lovely new park however no toilets! And a lack of seats with little shade (seats are not comfortable if your pregnant) There is 1 bbq so be ready to take turns. Some of the trees are interesting to see if they knock walls over as they mature.
