Questacon - National Science and Technology Centre reviews
47Very interesting science museum, some exhibits I can remember from 35 years ago and are still here, so much to see
Best place for everyone. Worth to come early in the morning, as it gets busy. Really worthed.
Been here 3 times very good experience. There’s always something you didn’t pay enough attention to and the next time you go you finally find it.
This was fun for the kids. Wasn't too busy when we visited but it wasn't school holidays. I do however feel that this place used to be a lot better. Some of the galleries didn't have much in them.
We have been here a zillion times. Such a great place. This time, year 6 excursion. It was wild and busy.the number of students visiting.a little overwhelming for us! It was so great that the sunflower lanyard was immediately recognised by staff when we got there ahead of our school group.
So many fun things to do for kids and adults alike. Get there early as it gets progressively busier throughout the day.
Wonderful space for children and family to discover and learn. Variety rooms with difference experiences for children to gain more knowledge in science.
Cafeteria is also good with affordable price.
Highly recommended for family to have a space to play and learn.
Wonderful place of learning for children of all ages. Staff very polite and helpful. Easy parking. Highly recommend.
I've had multiple school excursions here, Overall had a great time but it was pretty much the exact same thing each time we went there. Would have loved it if there was some more variety.
Informational for all ages and caters to different activities during the day and floor. Would have enjoyed it better with the indoor cafe and fully open venues.
Very interesting; you will learn a huge amount of stuff here. Food is quality and cheap. Most of the activities are either being used by children for a huge amount of time though - annoying but I cannot blame Questacon nor the carers of these childre.
A fantastic place for the kids to explore and experiment with a vast range of interactive activities. Things for both kids and adults. Be prepared to spend the day there. Lots to see and do.
Interesting and exciting site. Filled with all sorts of cool stuff. What I enjoyed the most was the slide, what a drop!
It was one of the best science museums I have ever visited in my life. It has almost everything in it. The main attraction was the free fall which was freaking scary to do but then it eventually turned into a fun. One can learn many things from there
Very enjoyable experience. Sadly missed out on the slides due to lack of time but I enjoyed everything else too much to care.
I MUST SAY, I WENT HERE IN YEAR 6 AND I STILL REMEBER IT 26 YEARS LATER. THE BEST CHIPS EVER AND I ESPECIALLY LOVED THE THING THAT BEATS LIKE YOU HEARTRATE.
Ahh, Questacon.this is where my great journey began. Many of the science based attractions in this centre are indeed, not based on science - they're magic! Boundless arcane potential hidden behind the drop slide and air blast guillotine. When I entered this place (named the sanctum of the grand magus council at the time) I was bestowed a curse, but also a gift. For years I have been plagued by visions of the ends, encountered the mudmen at every turn but i have survived and i have returned. Questacon has held its magic a secret for too long, secrets that i will attain, by wry tactics if necessary. Once the magics are mine, i will train at the fabled Mungo lake until i am adept enough in the arcane that i may battle the mudmen with fearless vigour and violence.
To any visitors, when at the most north-western corner of the centre, face the wall and chant 'missionem in me pater' three times, waiting exactly 4 seconds between chants. Before you will open a portal - this will lead you to the inner sanctum of Questacon, a mage in deep purple robes will meet you to guide you through the halls. Do not trust him - he wishes to take your flesh. You must run in the opposing direction to his instructions until you reach a crystal shard, mauve in colour - you must consume it.
I give this 5 stars because it really deserves it! It was the best stayl trip ever when i came here.the worker's were so kind To Me!
Very fun. Not many people there the day we went. Cool that you can go at your own pace around the establishment. Was sad the baby section wasn't working
The staff here are really great! Very entertaining and always explain things really clearly.
However, I brought my daughter here on a normal week day and the place was really quiet and empty. Yet, the centre still had 2 hour restrictions on tickets! We couldn't see everything in just 2 hours yet the price is the same as what it was for a full day previously.
I understand the limits are due to Covid but I would hope that on normal week days they could either extend the time limit or remove it entirely on days like this when numbers are so low anyway. The current limit has really discouraged a lot of people I've spoken to from going and I really don't want to see it close because their numbers are so low.
