15Thought this place was still under construction when I first saw it. The new apartments there are awesome
Very trendy and the surrounds are lovely. Great public artworks everywhere and cool little cafes and restaurants with great coffee. The cinema provides a more unique experience. The prices (and ridiculous parking fees) are reflective of the trendiness of it all.
Now that the trees are starting to mature, New Acton has taken on a whole different feel and persona. The cafe and restaurants are fabulous.
Vibrant mixed-use precinct with a cinema, great restaurants and cafes, public art, a weekly wine market (Saturdays, 3-6pm), monthly jazz/funk sessions (last Friday of each month, 8pm) and an annual arts festival (mid March).
Stayed here for work during winter time, it was fantastic, loved the rooms, it was very clean and the location was great
There are so many festivities you can enjoy. So much great food and the Art Not Apart Festival is held here annually and it is such a great arts show. You can take so many great photos and you can also cross the bridge to the lake! Very nice place.
Posh, self appreciating buildings and boutiques meant to convey a sense of odd intrigue, but just doesn't quite work. Just stay in civic people.
New Acton is a fun anf vibrant area with great bars and restaurants as well as some excellent little shops. I would recommend stopping by The Curatoreum if you're in the area, they have a great selection of curious gifts. Also worth trying some of the bars, like Black Market.
Very modern neighbourhood. Lots of coffee shops and brunch spots but without the crowd. There's also a Palace Cinemas nearby. Close to ANU and the Aus Film & Sound Archive.
Good coffee, super relaxed atmosphere and staff, it's an open kitchen and the food is fresh and tastes great, very natural and wholesome. Feels like you are having breakfast in someone's home.
New Acton is an awesome precinct with heaps of interesting arty venues and events going on. There is great food and drinks in this vibrant area.
NewActon is a great place for a night out or as an alternative to lunch in the city. With everything you need including lunch and coffee, bars and even a cinema.
New acton is very picturesque, beautiful gardens beautiful restaurants. Parlour is possibly one of the best resturants ive ever been too
A gorgeous precinct featuring galleries, restaurants, cafes, bars, bike hire and accomodation. If I were to move to Canberra I would love to live in the NewActon precinct. The whole precinct is expertly curated and managed creating an amazing ‘oasis’ within the Canberra CBD. I always come here when I visit Canberra and you should too.
Upscale, arts precinct with some arresting public art.parking is terrible but very bike friendly. Gorgeous collection of places to stay and interesting eateries.
