National Capital Exhibition reviews
19I was quite impressed with the displays and information available at the centre and it has beautiful views of Lake Burley Griffin.
It was the first time I visited the Canberra Museum, the new capital of Australia, and learned about its meticulous urban planning. It is now the administrative center of Australia. House of Commons, Parliament Hill and foreign embassy areas in Australia, etc. ~
My daughter and I enjoyed our visit and was offered a mobility scooter as I find it hard to walk.
Small museum but still interesting. Some parts closed due to renovations. It's free. Still worth visiting.
The Floriade was great with a great variety of flowers. There was night markets, stalls and live bands. Do bear in mind this was for the floriade and not on everyweek.
There was some fantastic information that was relayed through interactive means. The view from inside the Exhibition centre was unbelievable as well.
Interesting enough to wander through. Lovely view out of the lake. More of a school based excursion or for history buffs.
Really informative and showed that it was a team that develop the plan for Canberra, not just the bloke who is credited nearly all the time.well worth a look. Very dynamic and interesting!
Perfect place for flower lovers, I have been here on Tulip show
It’s awesome
I would recommend everyone to see this place.
This is a wonderful place to understand the history, the beginning, the birth and growth of the national capital of Australia.
If you have only a few minutes, a scaled model of the capital city along with a commentary, assisted by light guidance- provides the perfect way to understand the planning and the ideas behind the design of the city.
If you have more time, there is so much more to explore.
Very interesting exhibitions. I love being able to track the development of the capital and the relationship with the first Australians.
Fabulous visitor centre. Very informative displays on the founding and achitectural design of Canberra. Well worth a look.
Love it. Beautiful place and view, especially the Deck cafe outside. It's perfect to show our kids how our capital was formed. Highly recommended.
This place is a great start to any tourism vixit to the ACT. Whenever I bring a visitor to Canberra we always start here so they can get the big picture about Canberra's design. Without understanding the underlying design of the city, it's difficult to appreciate just how brilliant it really is.
Lovely walk along the lake, great to test your flag knowledge. Look down if you get stuck on a flag. Park at Questacon for easy access.
Great exhibition space featuring lots of info about the history of the Capital. I especially like the mini Canberra City model showing the Parliamentary Triangle. The projection effect to highlight places works very well.
For 7 years my aunt Fay had lower back issues. After trying the ketogenic diet for 3 months she still has the same issue. Shes thinking it might have something to do with her new mechanic. Tragic.
Highly recommend visiting the National Capital Exhibit when you choose to visit Canberra. All the staff are very knowledgeable and can give you an insight of what you can visit and new things you didn't even know about. This is a must visit in my opinion.
