Great little place, friendly staff, great coffee, small selection of food but is very nice and comes out quickly. They also make left handed cappachinos on request

Nice chill cafe set-up. Coffee is good but prefer some of the other amazing coffee beans Canberra has to offer (eg Ona).

The latte art at Lava Espresso Weston attempted to depict a swan. The execution, overall, wasn't bad. For the cappuccino that I ordered, the angle of the Swan's neck to rump was quite acute and unrealistic. That being said, my partner's swan was more realistic, perhaps depicting a Eurosiberian Mute Swan rather than Australian Black Swan. Overall, however, great coffee, great service, 5 stars.

Attended on a Saturday morning, it was a little busy so service was a bit slow, but the coffee was excellent. Next time we are visiting this side of the lake we will be sure to grab our flat white from here again!

Best coffee in Weston Creek and super helpful friendly staff. They do a wicked oat milk coffee!

Delicious coffee - almost always the best cup you'll find in Weston Creek or Cooleman Court. Also really friendly staff. Supportive and mindful of COVID-19 needs, although ate still only accepting card payments

Most expensive coffee in Canberra. At $6 I’ve tapped out, going next door at $4.50!

I never understand how someone could pay $5 for a cafe that you can make at home for 20 cents. People have too much money.

The coffee is reliably good. The seating space is crowded and not particularly comfortable, but, hey maybe that's your groove

Best coffee in town, at least on the south side. Stripped down menu. Friendly young crew. Nice spots to sit in the sun in the morning.

Great coffee however I’ve been going here for a number of years and the one day their eftpos machine stuffs up I am asked to go to the petrol station for cash to pay for my coffee. As a loyal customer for a long while, this hurt and I will never return.

Lava is a great little coffee shop in the vicinity of Cooleman Court, run by trendy people who make good coffee. It had been a little bit unreliable previously as sometimes you'd get a coffee which was awful and I was unsure if this was secondary to barista or blend. However about 6 months ago this seemed to change and it's almost always excellent. Limited food menu.

Review based only on the long black which needs a more robust blend and is too sweet - in my humble opinion!

My breakfast treat once a month. Food is so good and the coffee is never burnt. Staff are also cheerful.

The staff are so nice and friendly but the coffee tastes really weird, I’ve been buying here for years but the last few months the coffee has gone down hill. Please sort it out guys, whatever you’ve changed was not for the better

Easily the best coffee in Canberra.
I work in the city with many places for coffee but choose to wake up earlier and drive out of my way.
The staff are great and always do their best.

I'm slightly biased as this is my local, but hands-down one of the best coffee shops in Canberra. Consistently excellent. Don't let the down-to-Earth service and absence of hipster accessories fool you - these guys know coffee, and are committed to each and every one they make!
