38 Came here for breakfast and the food was excellent. The vegetarian Lontong was perfect and tasted authentic. Also had salmon with egg on bread, which good - however the bread was too hard and we asked them to replace it. This was done promptly and the staff were apologetic.
The replacement was simply perfect. End of the day, service is great and food is good. Keep up the good work!
Nice cafe, coffee is good, although it was a little too hot than normal. Scrambled eggs on toast were quite good. Staff was very friendly and service was good.
Yesterday on 02/11/23, went to this restaurant while hungry instead of dining in, decided to have a takeaway as I was rushing for my appointment. To my disappointment, was disgusted by what I saw in the sauce “a fly” took it back and staff were concerned about giving me different dish or money nor minding about the health the clients! They were not even apologetic! What a shame?

Nice atmosphere and good selection of food. They have Indonesian food section too with reasonable price. I had Kari Peng for lunch and it's delicious.
Had breakfast. An omelette & mushrooms. It was passable but pretty average, no garnishes & poorly presented.
Fantastic cafe - coffee is great, food is delicious and staff are always very hospitable. Highly recommend.
Great food and service. Came with the kids. Changed slightly spicy food for the kids without even asking them
I've been here a few times now; service is quick and friendly. The food has been consistently good, though both times I have had the chicken schnitzel burger:) I have sampled other meals with friends, and all seemed quite good. The value is great, it's so refreshing to see a burger that is not $24 + sides and end being served a tiny, overcooked piece of chicken on a triple glazed hand grafted brioche bun. This seems to be just honest food done well. Will be returning for sure.
Has the nasi goreng which was not bad for nasi goreng in Australia. Would’ve been better if it had the Sambal belacan fried in. It was separated, understandably for the local palette. It also lacked the kicap manis.
Soto Ayam was “pretty good”. It also lacked the spices one would expect, like a stronger turmeric flavour.
Indonesian food is good however their accuracy with orders is patchy. I paid $20 for 4 cookies (@2.50) and a coffee and a roti. They forgot to order the roti but when I asked where it was they said I only ordered three cookies and a coffee. I strongly doubt that the coffee was $10. This is the third time they’ve messed up my order. Please be more diligent.
Had the Soto Ayam soup /shredded chicken with cabbage & vermicelli noodles & side of rice. Sounds simple & even bit boring but broth so very tasty and not oily or salty and no coconut. Comforting & delicious. Partner had slow cooked pork belly- so good I nicked more than one morsel. Thank you!
Found this place accidentally and was pleasantly surprised. Vegetarian melts were delicious.
Superb flat whites in a cosy cafe. Plus tjey were one of very few coffee shops open early on a winter Sunday morning - lucky for us!
Canberra's best cafe! The ayam rendang is awesome - the matcha frappe off the chain - plus excellent service!
Brilliant food, fast, tasty and filling. We actually went there yesterday and ended up going again today! So happy to have this as our new local.
Coffee purchase but just served flat white served, extremely hot, couldn't drink for a good while, not the best. Ordered a latte and cappuccino.
I had the ayam rendang that was absolutely delicious - 5 stars! My hubby had the stewed beef Indonesian dish that had far too much oil - over half the bowl was oil rather than stock - 3 stars. Otherwise, cosy ambiance and menu prices for the usual cafe fare look very reasonable.
Looks like a great place to eat. Will definitely try breakfast one day.but not until they change their almond milk to "Milk Lab" brand. Seriously, Almond Breeze brand is below standard and disgusting.
Update as at 2 May 22 - We went this morning and grabbed a couple of coffees as we noticed they had Milk Lab brand almond milk in the window. Wow! The coffee was amazing and the staff were fantastic. Still haven't managed breakfast yet, but we'll get there.
Friendly owners and staff, Great coffee, lovely food and the Indo menu is amazing with lots of choices! The Rending danced on my tongue perfectly?
