Kathmandu Canberra Centre reviews
13I hadn't shopped at Kathmandu before today but was in need of some good shoes and a jacket for a trip in the European winter. Cody was very helpful and kind; they listened to my needs and spent a considerable amount of time working through different options with me - they were invested in getting the best outcome for me which I really appreciated. I left the store with everything I needed (at a great price), feeling confident in my gear and excited for my trip - thank you, Cody!
Marshall served myself and my wife Tuesday afternoon 40 mins prior to closing.
Not only did he provide quality service but he explained the products, provided helpful options and found the perfect jacket for my wife.
When paying, he offered options to protect the jacket and detailed cleaning instructions. The whole experience felt tailored to our needs irrespective of the shop closing soon.
Very pleasant and covering every aspect of customer service, this particular store in Canberra is extremely lucky to have such an ambassador for their business and brand.
Please pass this on to Marshall because as a retail business owner… this is the quality of employee that business owners wish they had,
Great work Marshall
The customer service was good. The stock was limited but the discounts were good. Got three jackets.
Low quality goods, and no returns. If you want to shop here buy online instead or in different territories where they do allow for returns. They tend to hide the tiny no return sign or place it on the receipt, after your purchase when it’s to late. There are other outstanding outdoor stores near by, that sell quality name brand products and provide world class customer service.
Travelled up to Canberra to do some shopping, and we needed a new jacket. They guy on the register was really lovely and made not only my day but my friends day. I would really like to commend his service and keep up the good work.
This is only a "pop-up" shop at the moment, but will move into bigger premises next year. Staff are knowledgeable, helpful and fun, making up for the relatively limited range.
Some staff members are cranky (not towards me but towards some other customers), but some other staffs are friendly. Good winter products though.
Amazing customer service from a guy there (can't remember his name) but he helped me and my mum get her last minute things for her trip to Greenland. Along with this help he ended up giving her awesome tips about Copenhagen, as he had been there himself. He made us laugh and made us feel comfortable. I only wish I knew the guy's name so I could say thanks for the laugh on here. Would definitely recommend this store!
Good sized store, staff are always friendly and helpful. There always seems to be a sale on at Kathmandu
Expensive but good quality outdoor gear and clothing. For heavy discounts you need to sign up for the free membership. Staff always enthusiastic, knowledgeable but not snooty.
Sick of poor service and stock levels in these bricks and mortar stores. No wonder people are flocking to shop online. Took 10 minutes no one served me so I went up to the counter to interrupt two staff members who were talking to one another with no customers.
Great camping and hiking gear available. The staff are friendly and attentive. Prices are what you would expect for the quality of the items being sold. To get a better deal try going their eBay store, though you will then pay shipping.
No Returns! Just like a street vendor, they don't stand behind their products, shop somewhere else.
