I've got a flood in my living room with black green and white mould growing on my furniture carpet and coverings and rugs. I've lost about $2000 worth of furnishings out of my own pocket to pay for a storage unit and definitely no help emotionally physically and mentally and no help paying for storage and moving costs from housing and or body corporate.found this leak from late July and we are now in October still no fricken help.

I was helping an elderly lady who lives in public housing to get someone to come to her place to take a brand new hot water system back. It took quite a few calls but no one wanted to take on the matter. The call was transferred to here and there and after a long wait, it was disconnected. It was a big mistake at first because two new hot water units were delivered to her place, at different times. Wonder how this was managed, as they are such big items cost thousands. The lady doesn’t speak English and had to ask a few people to contact Housing manager, but after 4,5 months the problem is still not solved. Others could have sold it for personal gains. It is a big one suitable for a family. But no one cares to take it back. Wonder how the cost is being managed.

I needed assistance with a rental bond loan and needed it quite quickly, Alisina Maihanyar the Gateway Bond loan Officer was simply amazing.he went above and beyond to get the loan over the line in time for me, he followed up with calls and emails and gave me all the information I needed. I'll be forever grateful for his professionalism and his friendly support. A real asset to the organisation, thank you Ali.

Without fail the most useless ACT Government organisation.
Incompetent and uninterested staff that treat their clients terribly. The irony is that without public housing these people wouldn't have a position of employment.

Housing as a whole is pretty incompetent with keeping up their end of things, honestly all round the board I found this except with my housing manager. She is one of a handful of amazing managers that are keeping us tenants afloat. 5 stars for Dani, 1 star for the rest of them.

After being with ACT Housing for many years I must say that they were fairly bad re client service. However, my current Housing Manager is excellent in every way. She, Kerrie-F, was very pleasant on the client visit and quickly got issues sorted for me. I hope the other Housing Managers follow her lead for other clients. Probably the best experience, without any drama, I have had with ACT Housing since 2008. Thanks Kerrie,

The staff here went above and beyond to assist. Ray from the bond loan office is a customer service superstar who is empathetic and genuinely cares about people.

Housing ACT staff have a 'Us and Them' attitude towards Housing clients. Most of them have no empathy with the people they are supposed to be serving. They think they are doing you a favor if and when they return your phone calls.
No way can you believe what they say verbally as different staff will tell you different things. I've learnt the hard way to get everything in writing.
Some of the senior staff need to move on as they have been in their jobs too long and are cynical and arrogant.
Hate dealing with them but you have no other choice unfortunately

As a support worker, I sometimes assist mental health consumers in accessing these services. The reception, security and staff are generally friendly and accommodating.

However, "Freda" - a staff member there - appeared to be quite rude and dismissive towards one of my participants and myself. My participant was struggling to wait and sit still, so they went outside for some air and to smoke, but "Freda" suggested that if he was not willing to wait he would not be served. She appeared to assume I was a tenant/friend of my participant, and did not have an appropriate tone when talking to me (and so, I assume that is her tone towards most people accessing these services).

Act public housing staff should be look after and delivering services to those who are in need but they're not doing enough. This department need alot of changes. Belconnen office has the most worst services.

The housing manager for florey is disrespectful and rude to indigenous Australians. Unless we whisper to her we are apparently yelling and she just hangs up the phone. There is no indigenous housing manager and this is disgraceful

I've had mixed experiences over the years. I think it just depends on who you get. I've come into housing some days and the service has been great, quick and easy and im out the door quicker than i got in and other times i've had to wait what seemed like forever while staff are clearly either doing nothing or standing around with other staff members chatting about the weekend etc.
