Heritage Nursery plants are good quality and, for the price, so they should be. The individual staff are very helpful and there is usually no shortage of help available. Management, however, appears to be something else. If you ring them to find out if something is in stock, you get a recorded message giving their business hours and telling you to come into the store if you are looking for something. They will not tell you if something is in stock, and you cannot leave a message. This is extremely unhelpful and, I believe, very bad public relations. So, good weather or bad, disabled or not, elderly or not, get into your car and drive the distance and time necessary to get to their nursery. Too bad if what you want isn't in stock. Recently, they have changed to card only. You have to drive to the nursery to find out that they only accept cards, because you can't speak to anyone on the phone, so back home you go to get your card, if you have one. Card is the best option for Heritage Nurseries, and too bad for the customers.
In my experience, the Management at Heritage Nurseries should realise that customers are not a nuisance, they are the life blood of any business. Not every telephone enquiry will result in a sale, but it will result in goodwill and many sales.

Excellent collection of plants and a very friendly staff. I would suggest all to visit this place who are ambitious of raising indoor and outdoor plants. Quality is outstanding

Beware: this nursery does not do a refund.

I bought a $125 pot about 10 days ago and realised that the pot was too big for my landscape. The manager was called in and was firm, either a credit note or nothing. No matter what your explanation is there is no refund, even for a pot.

Quite simple because it is beautiful, organised and informative. Try to get there on a late week day when it is less crowded

I am an avid gardener and with their lovely range would happily spend a lot here, as I always do when plant shopping, but what a shame they have chosen to be monetary fascists and refuse cash as a payment option. They like to make a point of informing customers that it is not illegal to refuse cash, well that's as may be but it is certainly immoral. Shame on them; they have certainly lost me as a customer.

Lovely spot on the perfect Sunday morning. A walk around the basin, coffee at the coffee shop, and a little retail therapy in the nursery.

Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly! You get what you pay for and the plants and products from here are of a very high quality compared to what is available at other places.

The food was delicious and it was great to be in the nature. Kid friendly with kid meals and drinks. It gets pretty busy but if you get there around 9 you will get a table.

Oscar and Maxim were just so lovely to deal with today! When I mentioned this to the lady at the front she said “we all enjoy what we do, we’re all happy to be here”
Their joy was so lovely, and they were informative too! They told us about the pot sale at the Willow Farm location so we went out there and again the staff so helpful and kind! Lady with blonde hair, lady with the straw hat and glasses and a young guy on his first day.
We love our olive tree, our new planters and to a lesser extent our new stinky nutrient rich soil

A recent visit to Canberra had me on a nursery hunt with a friend - and arriving to this one was like arriving in nursery heaven! It exceeds all expectations of the ideal nursery for me. Fantastic range of plants, clearly labelled and well organised, huge range of other gardening needs including products for propagation and managing pest or disease, but most of all expert advice. Some plant prices seemed a little higher than other places - but bought some and when we took them out of their pots to plant in the ground, you could see the strong healthy root systems and they took off within a week!

An amazing place with a huge range and lots of expert advice. Prices reflect the range and expertise, but good value.

Been to this place many times before & always had 5-star service from the knowledgeable staff. Recently visited and a middle aged or older lady made an underhanded comment about me not telling her I’m a member before she processed my items. Because I’ve always been asked at the counter so no I didn’t remember & it wasn’t deliberate. Not enough patience in this world. The cheek! Other places are cheaper so looks like you’ve lost a regular customer. I should have got her name.

Year round, the best selection in Canberra and the region. Buy something, don't buy something.doesn't matter as it's a great place the visit.

I've been shopping at Heritage Nursery for many years and have bought many beautiful plants and trees. The onsite team have always been helpful friendly and knowledgable until today. She was rude, impatient and dismissive, a shame because one team member like this brings the whole team down and in future I will be more likely to take our business elsewhere.

Great nursery with helpful staff. I do wonder though why they feel the need for a long, slightly aggressive list of things you mustn't do while there to be posted at the entrance. A bit unwelcoming. Other businesses seem to survive without it.

I went to pick up my order today as part of covid click and collect. I turned up and was unsure what to do. The people from the car in front of me were out of their car and there was no one around so I assumed I had to go in to the yard and pick up my order. A man then came out from the Nursery and ordered me to get back into my car. I was very happy to do this but like most people I don't like being ordered when you are trying to do the right thing. Twice I asked him to say please. He refused and said I would not be get my order so I left. Very disappointing when you are trying to do the right thing,

This is definitely the best nursery in Canberra. With such a wide range of plants, the nursery has you wanting to come back again and again to see what is in season. This nursery is well looked after unlike others in Canberra, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the plants are always healthy. This nursery constantly adapts to modern trends and customer expectations and is not outdated like many other nursery's. Would recommend!

Good place, good varieties of selections. Big Garden and Friut trees are available. Plenty of parking place.
Bit expensive when compaired with other Nurserys in Canberra.

Such an incredible range of plants and the expertise is great. Picked up five fruit trees today - there were so many apple varieties I had no idea which two to choose!
