Gizmos Cafe

The really nice lady working today offered to make me something despite it being close to closing time.

Lovely staff, food was nice enough,

Feel like this cafe is only as busy as it is because of position as the coffee needs serious work.

I recommend taking a slightly longer walk and going to space kitchen for food and especially for coffee.

Handy place when looking for coffee, and somewhere to eat, in the office precinct of Woden.
Good range on the menu, as well as quick grab items at the counter.
If you're in a hurry, you'll need to pick your times judiciously as I've had significant waits on a number of occasions, even when just grabbing a coffee.

A great family run business. Always welcoming and friendly service. A delicious wide range of food to choose from and of course great coffee.

The bacon and egg roll is possibly the best around if you don't want anything fancy. Coffee is decent. Prices are great

I ordered the taco bowl Thursday 12/02/23. The staff were very friendly but the food was, frankly, terrible. I didn't realise how bad until I was back in my lunchroom opening the container.
The chicken was a piece of dry, overcooked sliced up breast meat. The "salsa" was a handful of garden salad fixings with a tiny amount of avocado mixed in, with some kind of unidentifiable sweet sauce on top. The corn chips were stale, there was no cheese and the tiny blob of "corn salsa" on top looked like it had already been eaten by someone once.
For the price I paid this was totally unacceptable. I had heard good things about the café but was severely disappointed. I don't normally write reviews but felt I had to in this case.

Gizmos is the kind of place that makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Today our chicken burger appreciation society tried the BBQ Chipotle chicken burger and it was very good. Everything I love. You will not regret going there. 4 out of 5 clucks.

Outstanding food and coffee. Had scrambled eggs, bacon and toast and I’m not sure I’ve had better. Friendly staff with big smiles also help. I’ll be back!

Scrambled eggs at Gizmos are the most beautiful, fluffy goodness you could ever eat for breakfast. Add to that down to earth, genuinely nice people who run it. Come and try it out.

Great coffee, food and service. Chef allowed me to order omelette for lunch despite on breakfast menu. Omlette it was delious

Service is always great at Gizmos but today they went above and beyond. The team at Gizmos were happy to cater for a small meeting with only half an hour notice and with what they had on hand - which is no small feat in this challenging time. Sandwiches were delicious and a great mix. Thanks again for saving our lunch meeting.

Alex is an awesome barista - he would easily fit into world-class cafes in San Francisco or Seattle! And Illy is a fantastic manager and all-round great guy (just a shame he roots for Hawthorn!). Best cafe ever!

Love the new layout, bright and cheery. Tried their new soy chocolate chai, heavenly! Family owned business with great attitude and friendly fast service. Food and drinks are reasonably priced and always fresh and good.
