Fellows Bar & Cafe reviews
10Foods are expensive and services are poor. Today I ordered beef burger and onion rings but I got burger and chips without any explanation. $17 for a burger set is not worthy. Bty, I showed my discount card they didn't give me any discount. Just go to Kambri if you're looking for food on ANU campus.
A close proximity to graduate house and university house. Good fries (unfortunately I don't have pics) though it will be nice to have a larger portion.
On a sunny summers evening there is no better place than Fellows Bar. Cool, lovely environment, great beers and wines. Recommended.
Used to work at ANU right next to Fellows so here goes:
bar great for after work civilised hangs (though no match to Badger & Co.) Friday pretzels are to die for. Great wine selection, ambience and customer service.coffee is great too!
But lunchtime experience at the restaurant was largely disappointing. Lunch menu is over priced for the servings and only average in taste. They serve banh mis but everytime I tried them, the bread was stale and hard. Staff is absolutely lovely though.
Food are a bit inconsistent but generally good. Specials are sometimes good, sometimes over priced. The serving portions are a bit inconsistent as well. Apart from that it's a lovely place.
Good food and drinks. A good place to meet on a Friday. Parking is free and generally available.
Ordered fish and chips. Fish portion was small and cold. Chips were too hot. No seasoning or salad on the side. Not worth $18.
This venue can heartily afford to drift upmarket in its ambience and offerings, but its cosy, comfortable and, a little lazily familiar.
They have very good coffee and decent beer, but sandwiches and food are average and imo overprized. Sandwiches are particularly small for the prize. Friday night it can be nice with all people from the university coming there for a drink, but also can quickly become too loud. Staff is friendly and helpful as long as you are dealing with regular staff members.
