Elemental Cafe

Food and Coffee were good but service was lacking. Our food was served without any cutlery and we were not offered any water.

Lovely spot for breakfast - busy, but not overcrowded or loud, fantastic poached eggs (my favourite), great pancakes and coffee. Pretty quick service too.

Got breakfast and a coffee, everything was really great. Fast, friendly service. Good music inside, good vibes!

Was here during the Easter weekend after a quick bite and this cafe was the one which wasn't too busy around the area.we had a chicken club sandwich, an avocado toast with dukkahand a flat white to share among two.i must say the chicken was really dry and hard to chew.its basically overcooked in the microwave.the coffee was ok but lack of the coffee aroma considering it was a barista made coffee.the avocado toast was ok as it was quite basic. I was quite disappointed as it was our first meal in Canberra during the Easter long weekend.not being harsh but just not up to our expectations.plus, after the 15% PH surcharge, the certainly very pricey and not worth it.

I was genuinely ready to be underwhelmed with a basic bekky of 2 bits of toast, 2 eggs and 1 bit of bacon being 20 bucks, and was unable. It was 2 bits of very good bread. 2 immaculately poached eggs. 1 bit of thoroughly excellent bacon. Totally worth it and worth your time to try.

The food was good but service slow, despite the cafe not being full. They really struggled to keep on top of the takeaway coffee orders which impacted those dining in the cafe. Our coffee came out with our food and while the food was hot and good, the coffee was not hot and fairly average.

Have signs out front saying they are open but refuse customers service when they enter.

How about you leave the signs off the sidewalk until you are ready to serve customer. Poor service.

I arrived after 730 and the signs say the cafe is open. Change your signs or train your staff.

Good coffee (Ona), tasty food. The basic breakfast was.well.basic, but that's exactly what it was supposed to be. The service is quite fast.

Firstly I’d just like to say a big thank you to Elemental for the exceptional service they provide day in and day out.

Whether I am coming from a long training session or just heading in for my morning Chai. I am presented with nothing but beautiful smiles, amazing food and a great environment.

My go to meal - of course The Eggs Benedict. Eggs are always poached to perfection. The lovely staff are always respectful to the adjustments to the meal when I order.

I’ve been to elemental with my friends and family. As well as myself, they always only have good things to say.
Every time we leave, we do it with a smile on our faces:).

I definitely recommend to go here! Best in Braddon.

You won’t be disappointed.

Nice range of breakfast meal types and large servings. Especially the Big Breakfast. I've had avocado on toast, French toast, and healthy salad bowls, and have been satisfied every time. Also, a good range of milk alternatives.

Great breakfast served reasonably quickly. I ordered the big breakfast and a coffee. The big breakfast was true to name - about 10 things on the plate, but everything was prepared and presented beautifully

There are many, many eateries along Lonsdale street. We were fortunate enough to drop into Elemental. We ordered breakfast and it was a delicious meal. The soy chai in the pot was outstanding.

Great cafe in the heart of Braddon. We were outside and were quick to receive our coffee and food. Child/pram friendly. Food was delicious and coffee was great. On street parking available.

Coffee was fresh, tasty, and full of aromatic flavor in a flat white and latte.

Good to stop by to have a joy of fresh morning tea break. Recommended

My partner and I both work in hatted restaurants, we're sympathetic to plight of hospo, but this place was abysmal. We sat at an uncleared table for 45 minutes waiting on eggs and coffee. By the time we'd given up and wanted to get our money back and go, we were told we 'actually weren't waiting that long'. He then told us our meal was conveniently ready right then. Of course that meant we stood awkwardly in the centre of the cafe for and additional 10 minutes while they rustled up the wrong order into polystyrene containers for us.

I have no clue how on a public-holiday Sunday one could claim it was an unexpected rush of business. The place was at half-pax with plenty of staff. We got no apologies, no reassurance, just contempt from an indifferent staff.

I don't complain much, but this was terrible.

As a current man of leisure who's recently moved to Braddon from WA, I've had loads of time to get to know the Lonsdale coffee strip and Elemental is easily the best coffee on the street! In no particular order I've been to:
-Barrio collective (two doors up)
-Sonoma
-Eighty/Twenty
-Sweet Bones
-Londsdale street roasters
-Byron bay coffee (directly across the road)
Elemental is easily the winner so far. Barrio collective is a close second, however you'll find that Elemental has a bigger space to sit down and generally chill out. I've had a couple of their pastries and sure they're fine, but really you should be going to Sonoma bakery for your pastries. That's not a criticism of Elemental - why should they be expected to compete with the best bakery in Canberra?
I've seen some reviews saying the staff at elemental are rude etc, but it's not my experience at all - I've been coming here daily

Best cafe in Australia by far, not even close, best flat white I’ve had, friendliest staff and great owners

This is a regular stop for me during the week, I love the hot chocolates but today my partner and I both had whole coffee beans in our hot chocolates. I am a barista myself and I’m very confused as to how that happened!

If you can't handle taking a bunch of orders, don't be in service industry. The guy lost his temperament with two coffee orders. The taste was not great either. What a wasted effort to park on Lonsdale and have such bad exp on a Saturday morning!

Great little spot in Braddon with a variety of options on the menu that will likely please everyone. Especially that chorizo wrap. Whoa. Those are dangerous.
