Dairy Farmers Hill Lookout reviews
53Great view. Can go for a break with nature. Spent some time up there it was chilling and fun.
Easy to access. Great overall views of Canberra in the lake. Take picnic lunch up there, sit at a tables or spread out a picnic rug on the side of the hill!
Standing atop the hill, a panoramic vista of Canberra unfolds before your eyes. The view is nothing short of breathtaking, and with time, the burgeoning trees are bound to transform the landscape into something truly spectacular. A particularly commendable aspect is the meticulous labeling of each tree, a thoughtful touch that enhances the experience significantly. This place is destined to become even more enchanting as nature flourishes and the view continues to evolve.
I and my twin brother love Dairy Farmers hill. It makes Thomas's day to drive to the Arboretum and see the wonderful views of Canberra.
Great view of the arboretum and surrounding area. Definitely worth the short trip to get there.
It was a good experience visiting this place, The weather was a bit challenging however I had a good time spending time with friends.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Dairy Hills Lookout in Canberra, and I must say it was a delightful experience. Nestled atop a scenic vantage point, this lookout offered a stunning panoramic view of the entire city of Canberra. The natural beauty of the surrounding landscape combined with the breathtaking cityscape made for a picturesque sight.
Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised to find a collection of great sculptures scattered throughout the lookout area. These sculptures added an artistic touch to the already picturesque surroundings, creating a harmonious blend of nature and art. Each sculpture had its own unique charm and served as an additional point of interest for visitors to admire.
Highest points of national arboretum, great place to see the surrounding area and for sunrise and sunset
The dairy farm trail is an easy 30min walk with kids. We had an 8yo and a 2yo. Views are spectacular
A fabulous lookout which is part of the National Arboretum in Canberra. From the lookout you see the layout of the groves within the arboretum with sweeping 360 degree views including to Lake Burley Griffin. The view will evolve as the plantations matures. Well worth a visit to get a different perspective on Canberra.
A must visit lookout in the Canberra Aboretum. Fabulous views across the nearby forests, Lake Burley Griffin and the whole of Canberra.
Stunning views, beautiful walks, decent amount of parking, and the main arboretum site has a lovely cafè and bookshop.
Good spot for a day walk, mountain bikes, city view with a chance to meet Kangaroos. And also for sunrise and sunset.
The National Arboretum of Australia looks great at this time of the year, especially after all the rain that we have had recently
A fantastic lookout and beautiful garden area at the top of the hill. The views are superb, with the 'Eagles Nest' statue overlooking the grassland hills. There's a few other pieces or artwork at the top of the lookout, with the carpark being relatively close. At one side of the lookout there's the Forest of Remembrance views too, and it's such a lovely and tranquil place to visit when exploring the nearby Arboretum.
Fantastic views of all over Canberra and towards the snowy mountains. Loved the interesting sculptures on top. Not many places to sit but if you bring lunch you won’t be disappointed
What a beautiful place! If you're visiting Canberra and a nature lover, this is a great place to go. Very calming, picturesque place with stunning views. It reminded me of Newzealand (Queenstown). Especially, if you're a push Bike rider, you will certainly enjoy. I took a push bike ride and all the effort to go up the Hill was worth, I can do it again any day.
You get a 360 degree view of Canberra and surrounds. You can view both the sunset and sunrise here. I missed the sunrise as the gates were shut to drive up and there was no place to park outside to walk up to the lookout.
Amazing spot to soak in the serenity of Canberra. See the greenery or look out west onto the plains. Great walking tracks to explore the tree species being grown and fabulous place to watch the sun set.
Lovely view of the Arboretum and the western portion of the lake! Really interesting art and signs around as well.
