Daana reviews
65Best Indian in Canberra by far. Fresh spices, amazing flavour. The restaurant is a lovely space, with huge tables and the acoustics mean you can actually hear each other speak. The waiters are all absolutely lovely… I will be coming back asap.
Great place. Have followed the Danna journey from the start. Congratulations on the amazing achievements over the years.
I loved the restaurant the moment I walked in. The menu was unique and delicious. Loved the hospitality and the chef.
If you’re from Hyderabad, India then this place is not for you. However, presentation and customer service is good.
Always a wow meal. Sanjay & Sunita are amazing hosts and so warm & welcoming. Every visit has been absolutely amazing. It is so great to see so much thought and research that goes in their menu and the execution is spectacular. Always feels like a homely hearty meal!
Very nice food, friendly staff, best service and quiet place. Nice place for family and friends!
I don’t have any photos that were justify how good the food was last night. I actually don’t know the names of the dishes that I had either. Other than there was a shoulder of lamb a seafood medley and lentil dish and a beautiful chicken dish. But I will say is that I have never tasted Indian food like it…it was absolutely delicious! The staff are all so lovely too. So so good! Thankyou Daana! We will be back!
Nice, but the food is VERY mild. Lots of old white customers in the store. Very friendly staff, rightly proud of their food.
We got the biggest family pack and it came with a very small dessert - not more than a table spoon of a sauce thing to share.
At $115, it’s probably too pricey for what it is.
Very disappointed with every dish for our group of four after all the raving reviews. Bland tasting and unsatisfactory as far as we were concerned.
Excellent Customer service by people working there. Nice indian dishes with great people.
Love to go again
Delicious traditional Indian dishes with modern taste twist! A family run business with great service too! Also great non alcoholic options for those who can’t drink by choice or religion!
Food is absolutely delicious. We ordered masala dosa, Briyani, mango lassi and badam milk. Really good customer service with 1: 1 service. We ‘d love to come next time as well?
The best venue for authentic Indian cuisine. The menu is as awesome as the folks who run the place. Don't give the Bhoj menu a miss anytime. Will take all your senses home.love it
Nice place with good food. The food is not too hot in both spice and temperature, which was a little disappointing.
Great food, very different to the usual Indian restaurant. Had a good experience and will be back. Staff were all very friendly
What a great find! Our friends suggested Daana as the best Indian restaurant in Canberra and we were not disappointed!
The place has great ambience and the staff were so warm and friendly. The menu is perfect with the current theme of traditional Indian and Aussie flavours. Food was delicious. We will be back.
Very frustrated with discrimination against we South Asian people (owner is also a South Asian). My friend was ignored and treated rudely by the owner when we went there to pick up our food. The owner was just not interested, but he was very friendly with the local Australian.
Food was also bad, and we all felt it was overrated and overpriced. We had to throw half of the naan bread, and the curry was tasteless And undercooked. We were surprised by how these food got high ratings. This place has good decoration and looks very beautiful, but as a South Asian, I would suggest Canberrans to try another site.
Daana thali is a treat that should be experienced by everyone! Each dish is a wonderfully flavoursome insight into an Indian culinary regional style. The portions are perfect and the service is friendly and attentive. This family-owned restaurant has a warmth and authenticity that is rare. Go and discover it!
Another fabulous dining experience at Daana sampling their new menu that now combines some native Australian foods and flavours with sometimes ancient recipies. We love their embracing of new ideas. There isnt a comparable dining experience in Canberra.
