Great venue! Recently attended Diversity at the Frontier event, very-well organised where Andrew Barr was present. Quite spacious.

Attended an evening meeting, which was quite packed. Very easy to access parking, get to the correct room, and then also to leave.
Excellent modern facility and comfortable lecture theatre.

We were there during O Week. Lots of student clubs introducing themselves to new students. Nice atmosphere!

Attended the Ru Paul Drag Race show and had an utterly fantastic time. The venue is slightly inaccessible for wheelchairs etc, especially without help to open the heavy doors, but everyone working the event was incredibly helpful

Great venue. The first time I went there it was 12 Foot Ninja with stadium seating, awesome! This time is was for The Darkness supported by the very cool Southern River Band. But no stadium seating. No air con for the first half of the gig, either! SO EFFING HOT. Guys, please don't do that ever again. ALWAYS HAVE AIR FOR 300 PEOPLE, or you'll wind up killing someone. Luckily, Justin was on the ball and called it.

Amazing space, I love going there to perform with the studio I dance at. It's a lovely space with different options.

I have seen 2 shows at this venue now. The simple set up, of a stage in a spacious room, makes it a great gig venue, in my opinion. No seating.

Friendly bar and security staff.

It's a really good size for a concert and is well proportioned. Staff were friendly. It was rather hot though, more so than other venues. Also the stage was too low. It could do with being raised at least a foot.

Nice venue though slightly cold feel to it, warms up with a decent sized crowd.
Saw Magic Dirt play. Excellent gig, great sound and acoustics

Very nice facility with large rooms, bright car park which is free 3 hour parking on weekends.

I’m not sure how this place has so many 5 star reviews. Cool building, good stage and great sound for gigs. The staff are very polite and welcoming as well and definitely work hard to look after you.

BUT me and all my mates have had nothing but strange experiences here.
A few staff who could do with some higher training/life experience in other venues.
One gig the bar was closed halfway through due to “people being too rowdy” at a punk show? This was due to people obvs on more than alcohol which were let into the show by security and not kicked out.
Another gig was seated despite public health orders of restrictions being lifted because “ANU has different rules” again this was at a punk show, and dangerous as people could hurt themselves dancing with seats there. They tried to enforce this seating all night despite there being an unseated gig the night before. They paused the headline band to nail down this rule despite the audience obviously wanting to have fun and dance and it being allowed. They then called the cops on the bands and audience during the headlines last 2 songs. Gig finished and the cops (it was about 10) talked to people out the back for like 20 minutes and nothing happened. Nothing but stress and confusion for the bands and patrons when everyone was just excited to stand up at gigs again.
Fantastic way to disillusion your clientele and bands who play at your venue. Whoever is calling the shots for this place needs to be in venue to approach these issues because anyone who is in venue seems like they have nothing to go off except miscommunications and vague rules. And if they don’t want the sort of clientele and bands that are a little left of centre then why book them? You want a squeaky clean no fuss venue then don’t book acts like that.

The stage is makeshift and as a theatrical venue it's so-so, but the ANU Women's Revue was fantastic!

Kambri is a newer addition to the ANU Acton campus and houses a large number of cafes, restaurants and eateries. It also has underground parking at the reasonable price of $12 if you arrive before 10am, free for short stays on weekends.

There is a lot of options for food, ranging from the pub, Badger & Co, to Asian eateries like Urban, amongany others. There is also a Harry Hartog bookstore here for those so inclined. I would recommend a visit to people in the area looking for a nice lunch or coffee.

The Kambri Centre incorporates the Manning Clark Cinema, which seats about 500 people though with Covid restrictions only 250. A large wall mural is a Sydney Nolan Eureka Stockade. An Electric vehicle event took place there, all about reducing GHG through transport.

Took kids to the film festival, free entry, free popcorn and a drink on our arrival. We enjoyed the movie so much. Please do this again in school holidays please, what a treat for kids and parents/ carers! Thank you

The Kambri Precinct is very neat with wide paths though more consistency in the layout of service will allow for more business opportunities and institutes to form at and around the area. The view of Black Mountain Tower is splendid and there is plenty of seating available during the day. The area is close to the CBD, making it very convenient.

Great lunch and coffee options, a gym, student Centre, weekly markets and a few staple shops. Brilliant addition to the ANU community.
