Cockington Green Gardens reviews
77A miniature version of most countries' architecture is seen here. It's beautiful. A must place to visit when you in Sydney.
Miniature town lovely for kids and plenty of flowers however catering available is very basic. Limited menu and need to queue to purchase food.
A nice attraction that differs from most. The kids enjoyed seeing the miniatures, and finding all the funny and unusual things scattered around the gardens. The train ride was good, but short and somewhat expensive for what it was. The venue was quite large, but didn't take too long to get around. The atmosphere was happy, pleasant, and enjoyable. The gardens were well maintained, and staff were friendly and attentive. The cafe was OK, but the food options were limited. Overall a good experience.
This was perhaps my favourite stop on my trip to Canberra. The gardens were wonderfully manicured and there were so many miniatures to look at. The attention to detain was superb, also amusing. The incorporation of floriade was perfect in this covid climate. A must see if youre ever in Canberra.
Then a cuppa & scones in the Rose tearooms (food a bit expensive but souvenirs were reasonable).
We thoroughly enjoyed this visit & could see that the owners are passionate about its upkeep & loved pointing out to each other the little whimsical touches which are so typical of miniature villages.
Thank you one and all for this little gem.
A must see. What a fabulous place. Its been a couple of years since we were here and it just gets better with every visit.
Fantastic place to visit. They obviously care very much for the gardens and models.
It was hard to drag the kids away, they especially loved the steam train ride
Great place to take the family kids loved the train, brought memories back from when I went as a child. They have hire umbrella strollers which is good for any parents with tired little kids, also a Picnic area.
Great fun looking for all the little things you might first miss when you glance over the buildings. Miniature train was good value and a win with the kids.
Pretty cool place to visit lots of little buildings and structures to look at. Need about an hour to cover it all. Also has a little steam train you can ride on for an additional cost
Love this place. A bit expensive for what it is but definitely worth a look. The detail of the buildings are amazing and the surrounding gardens are gorgeous.
It was a perfectly pleasant way to spend the afternoon. We had 1 night in Canberra and arrived mid afternoon so took our 15 month old to check it out. The steam train (at additional cost) was cool however I wonder if it could run a little more frequently than every 45 minutes. The cafe was like stepping back in time and the food was pretty horrendous.
Its fun just walking around and looking at the miniature buildings, trying to make up stories for what the little human figurines are doing. The random dinosaurs scattered around that I saw on my last visit were very cool
Run down lots of things broken or just didn't work. Not worth the money too see it.
Thankyou for your reply I totally disagree with your assessment. The matinenence of the whole place was very disappointing your small buildings and gardens were unkept
Buildings broken with parts completely missing and by the looks of it for a very long time.
Your staff need to walk around and check your gardens and buildings. It was a total disappointment.
Friendly staff and good value. Some displays are looking a little run down from memory of 35 odd years ago but well worth a look as plenty has been added since. Young kids will dig the (gas powered) steam train. Very close to other fun family attractions also.
Had a great time here but so sad to see it empty, we were happy to be there to help out local businesses, friendly staff as well.
The presentation in this place is amazing. Its always looked great over the extensive years its been operating. The prices could be a little cheaper, but I guess its not cheap to keep this place looking the way it does. Kids had a ball here checking everything out. Some of the interactive displays did not work however. Still a great visit.
There are many, many miniature buildings - reproductions of world famous buildings from all over the world - surrounded by finely manicured gardens.
A good family friendly place to spend some time watching the miniature versions of various famous structures around the world. It's got a nice little train ride too!
Well maintained garden, great for kids and miniature lovers. I spent around 2 hours exploring the entire garden, plus 10 minutes of train ride.
