Ciao Cafe & Cakes Bar And pizzeria Braddon

Cake review: I went to Ciao after checking the best places to buy a cake in the city. Although I dont live close to Bradon, I drove all the way there as online reviews were very good. I bought a black forest cake and it wasn't very good. It had three big layers of cream inside, plus the cream on the outside, basically it was 90% white cream, so unfortunately for our taste, it wasn't what we expected. We were a party of 15 people and even so, half of the cake was left uneaten. On the bright side, I bought a gluten free muffin for one of my friends, she said it was nice. However that is not enough for me to do the drive again: (

I love going to Ciao - the staff and the owner are always wonderful and friendly and go above and beyond ever time I’m there. The pizza is excellent and I’m glad it’s my local.

This place was perfect for takeout food they made my pasta fresh and was really quick the staff were so nice and the food was even better with a great price = size ratio. Highly recommended

The customer service was brilliant. This small server/barista was so nice and kind and was willing to help and conversate. I highly recommend this place even just for the vibe.

The staff were lovely, polite and helpful. The Caesar salad was good except for the included chicken which was flavoured with what tasted like curry or similar. Unfortunately the pizza was a disappointment. The potato pizza had no flavour except for the over seasoning of oregano. Traditional potato pizza is not usually covered in cheese. The Mediterranean pizza was oily and overtopped with filling which didn’t work well together.

Service not very friendly at lucky I was hungry so I brushed it off. I thought the food would compensate for the snotty and rude service but unfortunately my eggs Benedict was a fully cooked poached
Egg.how boring, and not just one egg.all four eggs including the eggs on the avocado and mushroom thing we ordered. The one star is for the coffee and hash browns, my latte was Ok. Our 2 coffees, Oj and 2 meals cost 60 something dollars.

Don’t go here on a bad day, you will not feel any better, go somewhere that will make you smile, unfortunately for us this was closest place to get breakfast near work. I tried EightyTwenty Cafe last week, just 5 mins away service is great and food is waaaay better!

Editing my review after coming back here 3 more times.service is much better now and I appreciate it so much. My eggs Benny has not been fully cooked since. Thank you for improving your service.

Found a nice vegetarian Lasagna. It came with salad and generous vegetables inside the lasagna.
My other favourite is Garlic Bread. A fresh stone bread type with very crunchy crust, but soft & fluffy inside. The butter is fresh & generous.

Lovely Italian Restaurant in Braddon-Canberra. Not over price with still good quality pizza. Easy car park as well, there is car park in front of the restaurant also car park opposite the cafe.
Lovely new owner bring a joy and friendly ambience while you eating your food.

I always order cake from here. Recently, I ordered cake for my baby’s 1st birthday and both the cakes were amazing… it was delicious and Connie is simply best, she delivered what I wanted… it was perfect… Thank you Ciao cafe and cakes for the amazing service. I highly recommened the service.

Food was satisfactory, coffee ok. The let-down was the grumpy, unatentive service. Felt unwelcome and unwanted. Not coming back, similar options nearby.

Down in Canberra for a quick weekend. Tried this for a lazy Saturday morning breakie and we were very happy with our meals. Very nice and service was was very quick and courteous.

Just annoyed with idiots walking in who don't know how to shut a dammed door behind them though, as the weather outside was rainy and cold. They need a automatic door closer.

This place is amazing! Cannot fault their service. My workplace has ordered numerous cakes from them and some have been special requests due to dietary requirements and they are always so willing to meet them. Definitely a hidden little gem in Braddon.

This place is a treasure! The huge range of baked goods are fresh and truly delicious. Been there twice so far and strongly recommend the vegetarian lasagne - home-made and warning huge portion. Service is excellent and the place has a really nice 'vibe. '

I ordered a custom ironman cake and requested them to put a real light in front of it as Iron Man's heart. When the cake is out, my little dude is very happy and excited to see his favourite character turned into a cake. Ciao team took every care in delivering this cake with a great taste packed inside. Worth every dollar spent. Thanks Harsh for your commitment and passion. This is a hidden gem in Canberra!

Tasty pastries and cakes, and generous staff. I popped in right before closing time to buy some desserts to share and the staff couldn't have been more helpful in putting together a selection for me. Everyone really enjoyed the treats, thank you.

We ordered a birthday cake for my friends birthday on the same day around 2: 00 pm and the cake was delivered by 4: 30 pm as promised. The delivery was very quick. The cake amazing too. I almost searched for 4 hr for a same day cake delivery in Canberra and "CIAO cafe & cakes" was the only one that could help. Thanks for your services.
