Great to order over the phone, on time delivery but the food was bland. Had very little flavour to the food. Rice was gluggy and tasteless. The main meals we did get smelt divine but unfortunately lacked flavour. Not too sure if I would order again.

One of the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever have in Canberra, Eggplant with braised chicken and fish source is the best one. Stir fry king prawns with veggies is also 5 star dish, Braised duck with mushroom is the one if you want more, definitely will back again

If I could have a choice I would give a minus 5.we ordered for delivery.got told a certaint time it would be delivered, understand extra time.still sitting here an hour later being told it is coming.when? We dont know because they said it should of been here half hour ago.and what do they want me to do about it.great business

Really tasty food at great prices, that's why we keep going back. Can be hard to get through on the phone to order in the evening, esp on weekends.:)

Just ordered through menulog for dinner and the food was very impressive at quite an affordable price! Will definitely be back, thanks for a yummy meal:)

Really nice food and comfortingly functional as a hospitality business. Staff were very friendly and food was quick to arrive and delicious. Place has a good vibe too. Menu has a gluten free section and a vegetarian section as well as an 'old school' section. All around just great and a new regular option I think.

Food was delicious, service was quick as my friend and I had to get to a meeting.
I got left overs to take for lunch the next day

Best chinese place in town. They have a large menu and they always update there specials inside the store.

A favourite. Love the Beef and Scallop pepper hot pot, chilli basil chicken with a touch of citrus. Yum!

It's a great experience coming to the China Tea House. Staff are friendly and the food was amazing! I rarely get the left overs to take away but I'm definitely taking these home! Yum!

Guys state a minimum order amount on the phone for delivery and then try and penalize you with a further charge for delivery because you're paying with a card. What a joke.

Meal was terrible. Garlic tasted raw, and there was no other flavour in the dish, the food gave me an uneasy stomach. Absolutely no variety if you are gluten intolerant.

I just got home to realise that half my order is missing even when the girl repeat what was supposed to bein half of it wasn't in the bad the bag and when I tried to call to explain what happened the girl on the phone said its not her problem, I'm not happy with the attitude and having to spend 59.00 dollars on half an order I got

Best Chinese in Canberra in my opinion. My mum and I and the kids have been going here for years even though we live on other side of town. The staff are lovely and the owner is very involved and really cares about his customers. I would recommend booking a table before you come as it does get busy. Only problem I have writing this review is that when word gets out about this little gem we won't be able to get in!

The new restaurant, and kitchen (which you can now see into) is incredibly clean & bright. The amazing food has only improved in time but is still comforting and familiar.

The staff are welcoming and helpful staff, who are always willing to cater to allergies or amend dishes on request. Have been eating with China Tea House for over 10 years and every other Chinese establishment I've tried in Canberra falls short comparitively. The only things to be aware of are that the restaurant is quite small and although the tables are well spaced out, it can be very loud at peak times, additionally when very busy the phone can be left unattended when necessary, so if you're calling for take out and there's no answer persist in calling as long as there's no indication on the website they're closed.

If you're feeling cold or unwell I would highly reccomdation for the Combination Short Soup. Amazing broth, fresh lean mean, fish and veggies with delicious dumplings.

Third visit in a couple of months and the third time to be impressed by the prompt, efficient service and delicious and reasonably priced food! Great for a bigger group too. Well done to the team, we will be back!

Absolutely beautiful service. I was having a crappy day and the lovely girls made me a free green tea, I was so grateful, it was so delicious too. Thank you.
