The Theatre was a nice venue.
The parking situation however, was a nightmare.
There was not enough parking for the venue, especially on a Friday evening.

Attended tha Ausdance spectacular. The venue was under capacity, and everything ran fairly smoothly. Comfortable, if not a little too warm.

An easily accessible modern theatre complex featuring a diverse event schedule to suit every taste. The bar offers drinks and snacks for degustation during performances. In the theatre, the audio system performed adequately. The seats were clean and comfortable.

I purchased tickets for mom um and a friend to see Sleeping Beauty for 18/9/2023.
Apart from the show being great my mum reported to me that all staff were so helpful.
She is on 2 walking sticks and finds it hard to mobilise. The staff without being asked got a wheelchair and helped to get her where she needed to be and made sure to let her know if they could help with anything to just let them know.
I am so thankful that the staff at the box office and and one other staff member (sorry she did not get names) made this a great experience for her as at 85 she does not get out much and was worried it would be hard.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

I seem to bring the kids here every few months. Always an interesting show to watch every month. Every now and then, we dump the kids with the baby sitter and watch and non kid related show. Oh so nice.

Does the rating of the theatre matter?
Like any entertainment venue it sells overpriced food and drink, packs you in like sardines and expects you to be grateful.

The review of the show you plan to attend is where you should be looking.

The Canberra Theatre Centre is always well maintained and comfortable.

I never understand why these facilities charge so much for snacks and beverages though.

Had a fun night watching a Harry Potter two man comedy show. Venue was excellent. Drinks and small range of refreshments available. Expensive though, as expected. Ushers are very strict with arrival times and will close doors to theatre until the next act, so make sure you're on time! Plenty of carparking nearby, either underground to left of theatre or big open air carpark on Capital Hill, again to left. Plenty of restaurants to enjoy a meal before the show, just a block or two away.

Admittedly I attended Wakakiri before lockdown, but we were still supposed to be distancing. There was a sign saying masks were recommended but very few wore them. Yes we had to scan in and show that we had but seating was so close together and the venue was full. No social distancing at all.

Michael one of the suited managers hiding behind his mask was a complete d! @k trying to scare about three hundred patrons in the food service area. The drama queen told patrons waiting in line for service that they will be locked out of the Carl Barron show. When the speed of the service was brought up he turned on the patrons and told them that they should have arrived earlier. Sadly I would have but I had to feed my elderly father and set his respirator up and get him to bed. No mean feat but just getting the time to go to a show can be hard. How about displaying some customer service instead of hanging s! @t on the patrons!

Great little theatre. Wonderful bar with good choices at reasonable prices. Seats a little hard, and felt very close together (considering Covid).

Ticks all the boxes, is well staffed and presented with some great shows, but the Playhouse acoustics aren't great when you're up in the 'nosebleed' seats (the gallery)

Easy parking nearby. Bar open before the shows and you can take a drink in with you. A good range of shows through the year. Staff are friendly and helpful. The amenities are clean and kept in good order.

Canberra theatre is modern in every aspect except one.i was unfortunately asked if i would like a coffee by my companion and i agreed. Imagine my disappointment when I realised it was instant coffee and tasted as such. In this day of a multitude of machines that will deliver barista quality coffee either from beans or capsules in a very quick manner I expected better than instant. I could not drink the product and returned it to the bar. May I suggest you investigate the options and at very least remove instant from your menu.

Pretty nice venue, i have been to lots of different shows here many times and have never had any issues, bar is very expensive though and the queue management is atrocious.

Well organised. Quick check-in and bar facilities. Disappointed in seating arrangements, very packed and almost sitting on top of each other.

Good seats, good waiting area, nice selection of beers, any seat in the Playhouse is great and close enough to see the performer's face/s, good parking close by. Lovely staff, too. Could not ask for better.
