Canberra Nara Peace Park reviews
20 Canberra Nara Park is near Capital Hill, on the side of Lake Burley Griffin.
NARA Park is about 2.3km from Main Shopping Centre in Canberra.
The Canberra Nara Candle Festival held annually in Spring, is a community celebration of the Canberra Nara Sister City relationship.
The Festival is held in Canberra Nara Park on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin.
Come and see the lovely Nara Park, has the Kasuga Stone Lanterns, not only that bring your Food and have a BBQ, or a Picnic lunch.
There is a Toilet block, on the side of the Car Park.
Great views of the bell tower. Nice place for lunch. Riding those electric scooter thingies is highly recommended. Very calming place.
Beautiful location with options as to what you do there (family games and activities or just lake walks etc)
A beautiful, well maintained garden filled with assortments of Asian features. Provides a sense of peacefulness and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD.
A clean, nice open space area by the lake. Ideal for family and kids hang out, exercising, swimming.
Absolutely loved this place! Went on a normal weekend. No crowd. Beautiful surrounds. Peaceful.
Peaceful but popular area. Has BBQ's but you need to claim one early. Be ready to share as they are popular. Plenty of open space for kids to run around
Such a great space. We had a family and friends picnic and couldn't have asked for a better spot.
Excellent location, excellent spots, but surprised to see animal poop everywhere otherwise would have given 5 start.
Great location by the lake with spots for sitting + having a BBQ - free hotplates. Plenty of parking opposite the Hyatt or on road
Contained within Lennox Gardens on the southern shore of Lake Burley Griffin, this small gem features Japanese-themed gardens wth a variety of attractively foliaged trees. Amenities are adjacent; so is parking which is free only at weekends.
Peaceful and tranquil park with interesting Chinese and Japanese icons. Perfect place for picnics.
It is a nice place, was crowded a bit that arvo I went. Was not happy to see people flaunting rules about animals, with dogs off leash (I don't think that's allowed). Cyclists eschew the bike path for high speed runs along the pedestrian walk also, not using their bells either.
The pavilions (China/Japan) in each area are cool, with the Peace bell there too. And an Israeli memorial as well.
All very tasteful and nice.
Lovely park. Ensure you visit the Peace Bell that was brought to the park by the Rotary Club of Canberra.
Great place for a walk and plenty to look at. Bins are a bit scarce though and the parking is not free
It's always been my favourite park in Canberra especially during spring when sakura blooms beautifully.
Relaxing place near Lake Griffith. Make sure to visit during springtime so you get to see beautiful sakura blossoms.
It's a quiet place with amazing views specially in autumn. The place is huge, we had fun doing egg hunting during the Easter.
Love taking time out here, there are lots of surprises, little hidden spaces where you can while away the time.
