Blue Olive Cafe reviews
32A great cafe. Me and my partner come here regularly on our mornings. The food is good and quick, the coffee is great, and the service is friendly. After a while they remember your order and clearly have a good rapport with regulars - a nice atmosphere to be a part of. Another highlight of our mornings here is the amazing latte art! Everyday is a new one and always makes us smile!
Just popped in for a coffee. Coffee was OK but it is in a now rundown area of Civic. Service was good. It was average in a good way
Had really good New York sandwiches and it came pretty quick. The Asian lady, however, was incredibly curt and unfriendly which just dampens the whole experience. Would not go again
The sandwiches were good but the Asian woman serving us was so rude and curt for no reason that it made the experience uncomfortable.
Always friendly service from Sue & Sam - Canberra’s best!
Great coffee and food … not to mention the artwork!
The place is hyper neat and orderly, just too nice, pretty and clichéd for me, no soul. Food is pretty good and the coffee art was a nice surprise but overall, just too expensive. On the whole, service was friendly but you can see how that might flip, as mentioned by some other reviewers. Only worth an occasional visit for me.
Excellent customer service by Sue along with a good choice of meals and drinks in a comfy and clean environment. Will definitely be back next time we are in Canberra again.
Decided to grab a feed here from the good reviews on the way through Canberra and wasn't disappointed. The food is lovely Cafe style food. Quality 9/10 Cafe style food!
Got a sandwich and wrap from here took them on a 1 hour car ride and then another 1 hour hike to the Booroomba Rocks and still tasted great. Would get food from here again.
I ordered a breakfast and coffee, which I almost spend 20 dólars and the breakfast was not the best one for the amount of money spent. I went to study, after two hours the manager said I should leave as I spent more than two hours there (?) first time this happens to me in my life, totally not recommended
Came in to order a Pro Hart Sandwich and a drink and was treated in an obnoxiously rude and disrespectful manner by the Asian woman standing behind the counter. The sandwich for $13.90 was not bad but didn't really feel like eating as the service was pathetic. She was extremely rude in her communication and displayed inattentiveness and lack of patience. Avoid places that lack basic decency, cafe etiquette and humanness.
Coffee here is always nice - especially once when I got a cute little bear drawn on it. Also god tier apple crumble muffins - especially heated, made my morning
Every time I’m in Canberra I make sure I have breakfast there. The food is great, the coffee is very nice. Prices are good too.
The guy is very polite and friendly. I’m not sure why the lady seems annoyed to talk to people. Last time she took my order by the counter, she said: what do you want? She seems very stressed and you feel like you have done something wrong just by being there. Little unwelcoming to be honest…
Ordered a sandwich and coffee. Lots of options for sandwiches to choose from. The reason for the one star was the terrible coffee. Worst Coffee I’ve ever received in Canberra. Couldn’t drink it unfortunately.
We were recommended this cafe by a friend after staying in Canberra a few days with disappointing breakfast and coffee options. The service when we walked in was inviting and the coffee (and art) was great! Food was also generous and delicious for the price. We had the brekkie wrap (tomato and spinach very fresh) and banana bread.
Had to find a cafe close to light rail and bus stop to the train station as I didn’t want to be carrying around our luggages. This place was perfect. Efficient/ courteous service, nice food and coffee, jazzy background music.
Perfect little Cafe to have breakfast before heading to Corin Forest. Really friendly and cosy atmosphere.
We loved this classy little cafe for our breakfast. Delicious food and drinks with lovely service.:)
Delicious breakfast freshly prepared (dined in), with welcoming service and arty coffee that turns breakfast into a fun adventure) Thank you for a great start to each day and I look forward to returning next time I'm in Canberra!
The New York Style sandwiches here are pretty good. I would highly recommend the Donatello on Turkish bread.
The staff here are also lovely and the cost decor is also a delight when dining in
