34We have been coming to the practice since we moved to Canberra in Jan 2022. Purely by luck we had Dr Jani during the first visit and since then he has become the GP for our whole family. He is very professional and has excellent bedside manner. He makes my mum and the kids at ease, and really listens to them. The staff at the reception are always helpful.
I have no confidence in the quality of the medical care at this centre, I've seen three different doctors and I didn't have a great experience with any of them. My most recent experience was the final nail in the coffin - Dr Ige came across as inexperienced and unhelpful. She didn't appear to listen or take seriously anything I told her about my medical history, made light of my symptoms and their impact on me. I didn't feel heard or believed, which is an experience new to me. She also wanted me to make an appointment to get my test results, which I've never been asked to do in my life - it's normally considered part of the initial appointment - and didn't get the dates correct on my medical certificate. What a waste of time and money. Absolutely not recommended.
The stars I've given are for the reception staff, who were pleasant and efficient on each occasion.
All the doctors that I have seen at Belconnen Medical Centre have been thorough and easy to communicate with
Dr Jani and Dr Hafeez are fantastic. I’ve been to quite a few other practices in Canberra and have genuinely found it hard to find a GP that seems to care, which particularly disappointing in the nations capital.
Dr Jani in particular helped me through issues during my pregnancy, postpartum and now raising my little girl. I’m very grateful for his level of commitment, professionalism and care.
I have been a patient at Belconnen Mall Medical Practice for a few years now.
Doctors I have seen have been good.
Some of the receptionists are rude. Disgusting telephone manner and arrogant.
After my recent call there I decided to write a review.
You DONOT be rude in person or on the telephone.
Your customer services skills don’t just reflect on you. They reflect on the whole practice.

ITIS THE WORST CLINIC EVER.so uninviting reception staff, minimum 50 min late on appointments.
It is so unorganized!
Avoid Dr ko chin. He is a lazy lier. He said he doesn't have access to my previous history because of Poor ACT govt's IT support, which was a big lie just because he doesn't wanted to spend additional 2 minutes to investigate my health history record.
I deserve a proper explanation from the medical centre or from so called doctor. If I don't get any explanation regarding this within 7 days, I will take legal actions. Lazy guy like him should not hold a doctors licence.
I have found this practice to be reliable, professional, compassionate and modern. From the friendly reception staff who greet you with a smile, in house pathology, nurse on duty and a selection of quality doctors who take a genuine interest in you and your families health and well-being. The Belconnen Mall Medical Centre has my 5 Star rating!
Dreadful reception service. Keep in mind that there are many ways to explain to patient. Being rude may worsen the patient experience.
Have been going here for a while now. Doctors are always running very late and provide conflicting advice. They also have terrible reception services.
Today I had a telephone consult with my GP around 2-3 minutes just to know that should I keep continue my medicine or not and asked for lab test form. They charge me $60 for telephone consult. Whole day I am blaming myself why i did that?
This was our family practice until 2022. The administration is now broken and the doctors are hit and miss. From repeated booking and billing issues to Doctors being flat out rude because they were copping issues from the back office. One decided to take his stress out on us. If it’s the only practice your can afford, give it a go, otherwise keep shopping for a quality practice. If I’m wrong, just look at the rate GP’s churn through the business. It seems they are fed up and are moving on as well.
Dr Sherazi is AMAZING! He’s always helpful and warm hearted. Hopefully I can also meet such terrific GP like Dr Sherazi when I’m in Brissie.
Scheduled telehealth appointment at 11: 20 am. Called at 11: 45 am to follow up when appointment was going to occur, on hold STILL for reception. Meanwhile, the doctor has called for my appointment (30 mins after) and left a voicemail to call and reschedule.
This is just today's incompetence.
I used not to pay. If only my former Doctor in Kambah is close by, I would have gone back to him. Still bulk bill and I can pass message through reception to send my husband and I our regular prescription when we ran out.
Although it’s not great that the practice has moved to mixed billing, the staff are so wonderful at BMMC and the practice also has a great relationship with pathology labs/imaging centres, so it is a great place for continued care.
Specifically, Dr Priyank Jani is amazing: he is very compassionate, navigates collaborative care (with different specialists and/or allied health) very smoothly, is a great communicator, and really thinks about his patients’ quality of life/goals etc. I highly recommend him as your family GP.
Really lovely doctors. The only doctor I've ever had a nasty experience with left a while ago. Michelle the Practice Manager is friendly and respectful. All the staff seem great to deal with. I see Dr Hafeez regularly but my back ups are Dr Da Silva and Dr Jani both of whom are excellent.
Horrible reception Michelle - partner called to possibly reschedule and was repeatedly rude and didn't care. Then had to come in incredibly ill and again was rude, doctor was incredibly late and overall not happy.
Unless it is your last option, I'd rather ask a fast food worker for help then this clinic. -100/5.
No I am not going to contact the inept practice manager Michelle for her to put me on hold for 20 minutes again and not resolve squat. My time is more valuable and my partner's health is worth more. Pathetic.
Dr. Hafeez is the most knowledgeable medical person. His diagnosis every time are spot on. I recommend his updated medical experience. A very skilled doctor.
Worst reception service. Waited for more than 1.5 hours to see doctor but returned home without seeing because of the reception staff forgot to check-in my wife's appointment.
