ALDI Canberra CBD reviews
47Worst Aldi in Canberra. There were no trollies and when I enquired about them all I got was an attitude of it’s not my problem (from two different staff members). Ended up walking to the car park and got one myself. The trolley bay was still empty when I finished shopping. Useless store.
This is nice little shop with great prices covering all essential needs something!
Nice little shop with great prices covering all essential needs. Doesn't have the variety that Coles down the mall has, so if you're okay with limited selection of food and household stuff, then I'd recommend coming here. I live just a short walk from the mall, Aldi makes my money stretch much longer than what Coles and Woolies would do.
Grat new store, just about anything you need for cooking, ect, snacks, poultry, meats veggies, fruits, dairy products, and the list goes on, also value for money.
Customer service was bad. Not only was I expected to pack groceries myself when using the conveyor counter, she had time to wait for me to open my backpack. That time could have been better utilised packing the groceries into my bag.
They have tendency to double swipe your items here. It’s happened on 2 separate occasions on moderate value items. Very disappointing when you get home to find this out. Always double check your receipt even if they are trying to rush you at the counter.
Pleasant staff. Not too cluttered.
This aldi store shuts early compared to other aldi stores in Canberra. Must be because of the expensive parking price
We went into the car park, still not even sure if indeed Aldi was there. We were appauled with car park payment for starters! Then had to ask people if Aldi was there anywhere and instructions were given where they were, we were told to walk here and there. Are you serious? ! So, finding the darn place for new comers, was like a maze. Absolutely crazy the time it took, so we gave up! FOUR Times around the block looking for an Aldi entrance! Sorry but a massive downer location. 0.5 out of 10 for that!
The prices for the products are good, always looking out for a deal. Not very big do hope they had stretched opening hours.
Great shopping as always, smoked salmon 500 grams only $16.00 great value and the wine great taste and great value.
Less product brands to choose from so not wasting time walking up endless number of aisles as per Coles.
Bog-standard Aldi's. Predictable layout & usual harried staff. But always quality at a surprising price that keeps the other supermarket chains from gouging. Good wines and good chocolate.
Exploitation at its worst. This store *never* has more than 3 staff at any moment. Lines are unbelievably long as they only have 1 cashier open by default and 2 max. Don't blame the employees. Just ALDI showing how they keep their prices low.
Omg om I'm heaven this place is fabulous folks. If you've never been.what are you waiting for these people know how to make shopping for groceries excitingly better
Always dependable. My only quibble today is that there were no loose mushrooms, only packed in plastic containers.
Not worth the savings.
I used to come here every week until a new employee denied me service for no reason (after checking my ID) then I try to talk to the manager (Tim) to sort it out and the manager (Tim) banned me and tried to bait me into getting into legal trouble while clearly getting off on the "power".
Worst service I've ever had in Canberra their mobile plans are not worth the trouble they put you through to connect.
I watched the manager defend his employee from a verbally abusive, intoxicated, intimidating customer (the employee had declined to sell him more alcohol), which I think was rather admirable.
He went on to yell "you are never welcome in this store again! ".
King behaviour, if you ask me.
Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because there's never enough checkouts open.
They always have something to buy even if I didn't intend on buying it haha. Special buys are always pretty good.
ALDI is great for saving money.we save an average of 20% compared to the other two big supermarkets.
This becomes important when on a set income and living expenses are going through the roof
I am definitely not going to shop in this place again. I was asked for my ID as I was getting a wine in the check out, but they refuse to sell because my ID was NOT AUSTRALIAN. Not even the police have had asked for my passport before and I take this as an offence, and as discriminatory act. The manager was not helpfull at all, and the cashier was embarrased for such an insane policy.
