Access Canberra Service Centre Dickson reviews
21 So, I finally find this place despite the hidden signage. I managed to find a car park, (that is another story that involves quite a bit of swearing).
I am waiting in the foyer and a woman wanted to go into the access centre and the security guard or whatever he was said she needed to book an appointment using the QR code printed on the poster that he was standing next too.do they actually see the insanity of the system they have created?
Anyway, once I was inside the sacred room they scanned my ID and took a photograph of me so they could prove who I was.
When sitting at the counter I noticed 2 stickers 'be kind' and ' violence is not part of the job' I was thinking to myself
1. I hate being told how to behave
2. Maybe if you changed the way you provided the services, treated people as a person rather than an annoyance people would be less frustrated.
I had a low expectation after reading the review online but it was actually very simple and fast. The staff was kind and helpful. I spent 15 minutes there and I received the requested document in 5 days.
Finding parking difficult. The suggested underground parking is pay parking. This is not mentioned on the online information I used.
No signage, awful to find parking, staff then blamed me for being late after terrible parking experience. Staff were rude. Although there were 6 employees in the office and not one other customer, staff tried to tell me that as I was 10 mins late they could not do the appointment to verify my identity. Staff did not know the allowable Proof of Identity documents listed on their own website and were rude when corrected using said website. Next time will travel further so as to not go here.
Trish on the phone was lovely and very helpful. Jen at the office was amazing! So helpful and went above and beyond
Please note that this office is for land titles only and by appointment only. Book at least two weeks in advance and don’t leave it to the last minute. Good luck
Constantly having the call disconnected which is only where my complaints start I contacted access Canberra about urgently having to change the name on my white card I was assured that they would reply to me within 5 business days (it’s currently been 12) with a simple enquiry being will I be able to change the name on my card or should I do the course again…. How ever much government funding this place is receiving is far too high. A monkey could accomplish what these staff are doing and that being absolutely nothing
Very misleading by using the same name as other Access Canberra Services but providing only one service and still being unhappy about it.

Terrible service. Waiting for a long time on the call only to have the agents on the other end just cutting the lines. Service response time states within 10 working days. It's been 15 days with no email or calls.
Access Canberra have the correct contact details on file yet failed to send out any notifications till nearly 3 weeks after my Car rego expired. Trish an access canberra agent I spoke to tried to pin the blame on me telling me to put in my calender. Then why offer this service then if you cannot provide?
UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE FOR DICKSON! VERY FRUSTRATING WHEN YOU PARK, UNLOAD 2 KIDS AND A BABY ONLY TO GET TO THE DOOR TO BE TOLD YOU ARE SHUT!
Only does land titles.
Wasted 30 minutes going there to be laughed at by security guard.
Get your act together access canberra.
Love that everywhere on the Internet says this place is open but when you arrive they tell you that they’re closed for most business. Completely useless.
Obviously looking at the reviews, this place is essentially closed and only does land titles. Very annoying when you have to take time out of work and travel to Gungahlin/Belconnen/Woden, especially when you live and work in the opposite direction.
Pathetic
They don’t do the service they mention in their website
I went there for the photo I’d and the lady told me they don’t do it and asked me to go somewhere else
Can this place open as normal already? Only open for land titles claims but whenever I walk past there's no one in there. Making the overflow to all the other Access Canberra services hellish
The office can only do land titles so make sure you double check the needs of your visit. New building with a good natured team who greeted me quickly but couldn’t assist me with my vehicle’s change in ownership.
Terrible bloody service. They failed to submit my paperwork yet still accepted payment, and have now put me out of $320 because they can’t find any records of my paperwork that they failed to submit. However they could see that I made a transaction that day. Last I checked you can’t just donate cash to access Canberra, so it goes without saying I obviously submitted the paperwork to be able to make the payment.
Remember, if the government messes up it’s your fault.
TO SAVE YOUR TIME. This centre does NOT have the rego services! (21/03/22) We can only go to Woden, Gungahlin, Tuggeranong or Belconnen ONLY.
Firstly the actual service staff are okay, they’re under the pump but do their job. Secondly I think it’s amazing that Access Canberra have the audacity to make you wait inline for two hours or on the phone for 45minutes before charging you $3000 “stamp duty” for a car purchase or $500 for a drivers license. What a joke.
Service was quick! So much better than previous government shop front experiences! Entrance isn't well indicated and the internal layout is a bit disorienting the first time. But who cares when I was out in under 20 minutes, instead of waiting to be seen for an hour.
